Converter quote & purchase-review terms
Effective October 18, 2026. These terms cover identification requests and proposed scrap purchases by A2Z.
Quotes and inspection
Photos, markings, vehicle details, grade, contents and condition guide our review. Published ranges and preliminary quotes may change and are subject to physical inspection and verification. Submitting a form does not guarantee a price, establish eligibility, transfer ownership or create a completed sale.
Lawful right to sell
You must own the material or have documented authority to sell it, and provide accurate source information. Material given to you must have a documented lawful source. A statement of ownership alone does not satisfy every purchase requirement. A2Z will not purchase property known or reasonably suspected to be stolen.
Detached converters: eligible sellers
North Carolina restricts purchases to the persons described in G.S. 14-164.1: people acting in official duties for appropriately licensed, permitted or registered dealers, repair shops, recyclers or salvage yards; registered vehicle owners replacing their converter with a legally obtained converter; and documented recipients from those replacing owners with the required ownership and recent registration records. A2Z verifies the applicable category and retains supporting documents before purchase.
A2Z document policy
Bring the registration for the donor vehicle and valid North Carolina photo identification. A2Z will not complete the purchase without both. Present these documents in person; do not upload them to the quote form. These documents are required in addition to applicable seller-eligibility verification.
Before payment
Purchase intake requires valid unexpired photo ID, seller and delivery-vehicle details, material description and source, weight, payment details, a signed receipt, and a photograph or video of the seller with the delivered material. Detached-converter purchases require an index-finger impression beside the signature on the receipt, or an electronic fingerprint as permitted by law. An existing valid ID/fingerprint record may be referenced only as the law permits. The quote form does not replace these steps.
Records and privacy
Quote details and photos are stored for A2Z’s review and may be used to contact you about the request. Do not send ID images through the public quote form. Purchase records are securely retained for at least two years and made available for authorized inspection as required by law. Quote submissions do not create public access to seller records.
